Boxing Medical Certificate
Boxing is a sport which is growing in popularity all of the time. There are significant associated health benefits but also some health risks which need to be considered.
Our doctors are fully registered with England Boxing (formerly known as the Amateur Boxing Association of England). As such, they are able to perform the medical examinations required by boxers before joining a club and on a yearly basis thereafter. We are also able to provide medicals for the Amateur Boxing Alliance which use similar regulations.
The consultation includes a review of the boxer’s past medical and family history as well as a thorough physical examination and urine testing for sugar, protein etc.
Occasionally further tests may be needed. The doctor will explain all of this at the time of the consultation.
Please bring all of your England Boxing medical card to the medical and one of our doctors will be able to complete the relevant section for you.
The cost of the medical (including completion of the paperwork) is £95.
